British artist Richard Hamilton died Tuesday, 13 September 2011, at age 89. Considered a forerunner of Pop Art, Hamilton is best known for paintings and collages that addressed issues of popular culture and consumption. via Reuters
ARTstor has collaborated with Réunion des Musées Nationaux (RMN) and Art Resource to secure 12,000 images.
