DH Monday: Upcoming UCSB Center for Black Studies Research Events

As the start of the new academic year approaches, already there are a couple of upcoming digital-scholarship related events in the UCSB Center for Black Studies Research to get on your calendar now!

  1. Surveying the Terrain“: Session 1 of Race, Space, and Place Workshop, Tuesday, October 8, at 12:00pm. This is the first session of the Race, Space, and Place: Ethnography and the Digital Humanities workshop series. In this session, learn new tools in the digital and spatial humanities with CBSR postdoc Justin Hosbey.
  2. Research Software Sustainability: The Many Facets from Good Software Engineering Practices to Cultural Change in Academia, Thursday, October 10, at 12:00pm. This lecture features Sandra Gesing of the Center for Research Computing at the University of Notre Dame.

The Center for Black Studies Research is located in 4603 South Hall.
