MAK Center’s Schindler House Tour, May 17-18, 2014

Schindler Papers, Art, Design & Architecture Museum, UC Santa BarbaraThe MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, will celebrate its 20th year by offering a tour of a number of exemplary private houses by R.M. Schindler. The programming opens with a wine reception and talk with Judith Sheine (Professor of Architectural History at the University of Oregon) at Schindler’s How House in Silver Lake on Saturday, May 17, 5:00-7:00pm.

On Sunday, May 18, there will be an Architecture Tour that includes the following houses:

    • How House (1925)
    • Elliot House (1930)
    • Bubeshko Apartments (1938/1941)
    • Wilson House (1938)
    • Falk Apartments, penthouse (1939)
    • Droste House (1940)

Each tour itinerary will take approximately 3 1/2 hours, between 11 am and 5 pm. Visit the MAK Center site for more information on ticket and transportation prices.
