Yale offers free online access to digital images

Yale University announced it now allows free access to its ever-growing database of digital images of objects housed in the university’s museums, archives, and libraries.  Discover Yale Digital Commons already hosts almost 260,000 digital images and records, with the goal of adding over 1.5 million.  The interface allows cross-collection searching of Yale’s vast respositories, including the Center for British Art, the Peabody Museum of Natural History, the Yale U Art Gallery, and the Yale library.  The material covers botany, anthropology, paleontology, mineralogy, maps, zoology, Asian/African/Ancient/American/European art, and much more.
