  • Cook’s Voyages to the South Seas (Natural History Museum, London): 1,647 images of botanical and zoological illustrations associated with Captain James Cook’s expeditions to the South Pacific from 1768 – 1779 (keywords: endeavour botanical OR cook forster OR cook ellis)
  • Roy Lichtenstein Foundation and Estate: 1,172 images by the Pop artist (keywords: lichtenstein estate; note that these images download at 400 pixels)
  • University of Michigan’s Asian Art Photographic Distribution (AAPD): 9,585 images of Chinese painting, sculpture, bronzes and ceramics, Central Asian Art, and Japanese painting (keyword: aapd)
  • Ezra Stoller Archive (Esto): 7,100 additional images of modern architecture photography (roughly 15,000 of the projected 26,000 are now available; keywords: stoller esto)
  • Rothko Family Collections: 139 images by the Abstract Expressionist painter, including early figurative works (10% of the projected 1,347; keywords: rothko estate)
  • Yao Ceremonial Artifacts (Ohio University): approximately 2,800 images of art works and objects created by the Yao people, an ethnic minority from northern Vietnam (77% of the 3,700 total to be added; keywords: yao ohio)
  • Canyonlights World Art Image Bank: 6,223 images of documented by art historian and photographer Dr. Susan Silberberg-Peirce of archeological sites, architectural monuments, and nature landscapes, with a special focus on the Mediterranean region

New collaborations have been established with these collections:

  • Barnes Foundation: to share approximately 2,000 images of works from the permanent collection of French Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and early Modern art
  • John R. Fischetti Cartoon Archive (Columbia College Chicago): to offer approximately 3,200 images of drawings and sketches by Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist John Fischetti
