QuickTime movies and 3D objects in ARTstor

labrousteARTstor’s collection of QTVR videos continues to grow – there are now more than 1,300, covering many sites and monuments worldwide.  To find them, search on QTVR (optional: add a location to the search, e.g. QTVR Paris).  Under each thumbnail is a highlighted “QTVR” label – click on this and the file will open in a QuickTime window (you will need a current version of QT to play them) – click and drag to view the image in 360 degrees, and zoom in, too.

guimet-3dNow ARTstor is working on 3D images/objects in the round.  The collection is small so far (around 20) but there are plans to expand.  Instructions are the same as above – search on 3D, click on the “3D” label under the thumbnail (the image takes a little longer to load than a static image), and then click and drag to turn the image.  The resolution and level of detail are astounding!
