It seems ARTstor has been very busy lately. Two agreements have been reached with the following organizations:
- Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC): to release “hundreds” of images covering colonial, modern, and contemporary Latin American art (no specific number at this time)
- The National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC: to share over 600 images of European paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts from the Samuel H. Kress Collection (or roughly one third the total number of works in the Kress Collection at the National Gallery)
Besides the newly-acquired images from the Archivision Library, the ARTstor Digital Library now contains these works from:
- The Warburg Institute: the first release (approximately 1,200 images), which includes images of European book illustrations from the 16th-18th centuries; when complete, the collection will total 10,000
- Bryn Mawr College Plans of Ancient and Medieval Buildings and Archaeological Sites Collection: also a first release (of more than 2,700 images), these include Ancient Near East archaeological sites and monuments; when complete, this collection will total 8,000
