Just a reminder that the California Digital Library still supports Luna Insight, the image hosting and search tool that was tested by the UC campuses a few years ago. There are several terrific collections which are not available through ARTstor or other means at this time, for example:
- The National Palace Museum of Taipei (over 5,000 images)
- The Andrew Dickson White Collection of Architectural Photographs (about 1,300)
- The Farber Gravestone Collection (over 13,000 images)
- Early American Images from the John Carter Brown Library (over 6,000 images)
- World War II posters, Russian and Soviet Union political posters, historic maps, rare books and manuscripts, and much more
To see a full list of collections available go to the CDL page here. You can open each collection using the Launch Insight Browser links on the right of that page, or you can download the Java Client with the link at the top of the page.
If you want a refresher on Insight’s features and how to maximize them please see Jackie or Christine.
